MetLife invites qualified Software Engineers to be part of its Hack4Job India 2025 initiative. This role is part of MetLife’s global technology transformation journey and is situated within its Global Technology department. Only candidates who are shortlisted through the hackathon or related screening processes will be considered.
Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer in this role, your responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications (front‑end, back‑end, APIs, and databases)
Implement best practices in cloud‑native software, emerging technologies, AI/data capabilities
Engage in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving production issues efficiently
Collaborate with global engineering teams to drive digital transformation
Follow Agile development methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps practices
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related fields
Minimum 3 years of experience in application software development and working with cloud‑native technologies and APIs
Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) for back‑end services
Experience with ReactJS for front‑end development
Database experience with SQL Server, Cosmos DB, or equivalent
Familiarity with Azure ecosystem: Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
Experience with mobile technologies (Swift, React Native) is a plus
Strong problem‑solving skills, good communication & collaboration ability in fast‑paced environments
