Job Description
FRND, a rapidly growing social platform startup, is offering an exciting Backend Intern position for passionate candidates eager to build scalable backend systems and solve complex technical challenges. This internship provides a hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs, databases, and backend services critical to the product’s success.
About the Role:
As a Backend Intern, you will be part of the engineering team contributing to real-world projects in a fast-paced startup environment. You will assist in building backend systems that support the core product and collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and designers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of backend APIs, services, and systems.
Work with databases to efficiently store, manage, and optimize data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable features.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in debugging, testing, and enhancing system performance.
Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and best practices.
Internship Requirements:
Availability for a 6-month in-office internship.
Strong understanding of at least one backend programming language such as Python, Node.js, Java, or Go.
Basic knowledge of databases and data management.
Familiarity with REST APIs and fundamental networking concepts.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
Ability to work six days a week, with every 1st and 3rd Saturday as working days.
